The Outstanding Young Artist competition is open to instrumental and vocal students through 12th Grade. Students must attend school in the Lehigh Valley. The audition video should demonstrate a range of technical skills, rhythmic ability, and virtuostic tone, in works from standard classical repertoire. First Place winner receives $800; Second Place receives $400. A Rising Star (a student who has been studying only a few years) may be recognized as a promising young artist and awarded $75. First and Second Place winners will perform a 15- to 20-minute recital to receive their monetary award. The Rising Star will perform one piece of music at the recital to receive their monetary award.
*Decision to select a First Place, Second Place, and/or Rising Star winner, is at the discretion of the judges.*
